Independent Non-Executive Director, AIG UK

Penny joined the Board as an independent non-executive director on 1 June 2020.  Penny is the Chair of the Reserves & Underwriting Committee and is also a member of the Audit Committee, the Board Risk Committee and the Remuneration Committee

Prior to Penny taking up a non-executive career, she was employed as the Chief Risk Officer for the Chaucer Group with responsibility for a number of functional areas including ERM, internal model, underwriting and exposure risk management, legal, compliance and corporate governance and credit risk management.  She has held prominent Risk roles including the Group Chief Risk Officer at The Hanover Group being based in USA. Prior to joining The Hanover Group, Penny was Group CRO at Hiscox. Penny, a qualified actuary, also held senior roles in risk and actuarial areas at ACE (now Chubb).

Penny is currently Non-Executive Director of Assured Guaranty UK Limited (also Chair, Risk Committee), Aspen Managing Agency Limited, Catalina Worthing Insurance Limited, Pool Reinsurance (Nuclear) Limited, and Zurich Assurance Limited.
