What is Virtual Medical Care?

Virtual Medical Care provides you as a person insured under an eligible AIG insurance policy and your immediate family with unlimited, round-the-clock access to a UK GP.

No matter where you are in the world, qualified doctors are available 24/7 to answer your health concerns and provide medical advice.

The service can also be used for an expert second medical opinion on an existing diagnosis or treatment plan.

The Virtual Medical Care service is provided on a complimentary basis with certain AIG policies. Check your policy documents or our correspondence with you to see if you are eligible.  

Virtual Medical Care is a third-party service provided by Teladoc Health UK. AIG does not give medical advice.

Round-the-clock access to UK GPs for medical advice, private prescriptions or specialist referrals.

Discuss and resolve health concerns with experienced General Medical Council (GMC) licensed UK GPs. 

Available 24/7, whether you’re at home or abroad.

Expert Case Management

Assessments by leading experts for second medical opinions.

Medical specialists to review an existing diagnosis or proposed treatment plan.

A UK GP case manager will assist you through the entire process.

  2. Login & click on ‘Create Your Account’ 

  3. You will be directed to a third-party website to create an account 

  4. Enter your AIG policy number

  5. Download the Virtual Medical Care App via the App Store or Google Play

The Virtual Medical Care App (developed by Teladoc) gives you a simple way to book appointments and have video consultations with UK GPs. You can use the same login credentials that you used to register online for the app. However, before accessing certain features for the first time, you will need to complete a secure one-time ID check. When you require medical assistance, you will be sent a quick and easy process to follow, which adheres to the guidelines set by the Care Quality Commission.
