Our Claims Promise

In the event of a major claim, AIG will confirm coverage under the policy as quickly as reasonably possible. If coverage is confirmed, we promise to provide the Policyholder with immediate working funds of up to 50% of our share of the agreed estimate within 7 days for Property Damage and repairs.** 

 **This is subject to confirmed liability and based on agreed Property Damage estimates only and does not apply to Delay in Start Up/Business Interruption.

AIG Construction solutions are built specifically for either companies managing construction projects, helping protect a project from inception through completion and beyond or for annual programmes.  

Our Construction All Risk (CAR) and Erection All Risk (EAR) insurance covers all construction or installation risks related to construction site activities, including third party liability during the execution of the works and/or the installation of machinery or systems.

Coverage includes:

  • Up to USD 250m* PML (probable maximum loss) capacity
  • Natural catastrophe capacity, including earthquake, flood, and windstorm 
  • Testing and commissioning
  • Cover can be arranged on a one-off, single-period project or yearly basis
  • Products may be tailored to include third party injury or physical damage cover as well as delay in start-up
