I have worked in the Insurance Industry for over 28 years having dropped out of studying A'levels and taking a steady job whilst I considered what I wanted to do. The first 22 of those years was spent in the Personal lines market space where I worked in policy servicing, sales before settling into claims. I have held many roles in claims starting as a claims adjuster, rising into leadership roles that have seen me managing every type of claims team, working in the repair industry and leading teams ranging in size from 3 to 1100. I ended my spell in Personal Lines as Head Of Claims for Tesco Bank based in Edinburgh.
I joined AIG in 2011 as the Manchester Claims manager. Since then I have had the privilege of leading a great bunch of folks in claims across the UK which sees me today with responsibility for casualty claims across EL/GL and Motor (excluding Major Loss).
I live in Manchester with Debbie, Charlie (9), Amelia (6) and Oliver (21). As a season ticket holder at Manchester United being married to a lass from Liverpool is not always a harmonious place to be especially over the last 3 years.
