Best Practices for screening mail and deliveries
Security threats do not just present themselves over cyberspace, or in-person through the front door. Those wishing to cause harm or disruption have long used postal and courier services to deliver hazardous items to target organizations or recipients. Explosives, toxic chemicals, and biological agents, among other hazards, have a history of delivery via suspicious (and not-so-suspicious) packages. It is important as an organization to be aware of the threat, and to set up policies and procedures accordingly.
