Our Value Proposition for Motor ClaimsLearn More
Essential third party cover to fully comprehensive policies that go beyond standard policies
A company’s fleet of work-use motor vehicles represents a significant investment in capital and management time. It also represents a sizable proportion of the risk the company carries as driving is among the most dangerous work activities.
The implications to businesses from fleet incidents reach far deeper even than human tragedy. From missed deliveries and unproductive downtime, replacement staffing and the high costs and delays associated with repairs, the costs of even a minor accident can escalate. AIG also offers fully comprehensive policies to cover the company’s vehicles.
In the event of an incident, Medical and Vocational Rehabilitation is available to the victims of accidents, to help recovery and get back to work. Serious incidents may require the involvement of Professional crisis management teams where the severity might threatens a crisis for the company.
Motor Fleet Insurance protects businesses financially from compensation claims from third parties as a result of a motor accident or from the theft of a vehicle. These third party claims could be in the form of financial compensation for injury or property damage for a third party.
There’s much that the business can do to manage their vehicle fleets better to reduce their own operational and insurance costs. We assist our clients by providing tools that experience shows are key components of effective risk management programmes, to help reduce current high accident and loss rates or complement an existing risk reduction programme that is achieving results.
Our Driver Profiler tool helps build a picture of drivers' risk profiles and provides tips to improve driving and reduce accidents and is available to FleetProtector clients of all sizes.
This insurance is suitable for any business operating auto fleets. AIG places a strong focus on good risk management procedures in the fleets it underwrites.
Comprehensive, third party fire and theft or third party only fleet cover, tailored to insured's needs.
It’s a fact of business: when motor vehicles are involved in your operations accidents are likely to happen. No one can predict when the next incident will occur or how severe the results might be for your driver, passengers, and others involved in the incident; or to the surrounding roadway or property.
What is known is that the application of modern safety management principles to road safety can significantly reduce accident rates, injuries and property damage, in some cases by more than 50% whilst also reducing maintenance costs, lost time and fuel consumption.
Depending on the risk profile and particular requirements of any fleet, AIG can offer access to the appropriate risk management services.
Risk Management helps brokers deliver a better service, helps clients get more for their premium spend and helps us retain them at renewal.
Our Driver Profiler is designed to help people who drive at work stay safe, by identifying each driver’s level of accident risk and offering suggestions to improve their road safety. It also provides fleet managers with a valuable and comprehensive reporting suite so they can target coaching and risk management at where it’s needed.
Developed in conjunction with the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) the Driver Risk Profiling Tool is completely independent and scientifically verified. In just 20 minutes it analyses a wide range of variables for each driver including the type of vehicle used, average mileage driven, accident history, state of mind while driving and knowledge of the Highway Code. The results are analysed and cross referenced within the system to verify the truthfulness of your drivers’ responses.
This builds a picture of their driving profile, generating a report for each driver with their risk level and advising tips to improve their at-work driving. The business can review their drivers’ results so they identify and up skill their riskiest drivers.
Driver Profiler is automatically included with our motor fleet insurance and can be of assistance whether your fleet comprises cars, vans, lorries or blue-light vehicles. It’s aimed at all kinds of drivers operating throughout Western Europe, from occasional business drivers to professional truckers.
We're interested in looking at fleets with premiums from around £10,000. Of course, we'll also be interested in much smaller ones where we hold other lines of business.
Brokers will find us to be an ambitious and competitive market for regional fleets. We're keen to encourage brokers who share our growth ambitions in the fleet market, so we can work and grow alongside them. Brokers with whom we can identify, target and acquire specific new fleet accounts; working to grow our fleet businesses in unison.
We know brokers want a fast, local and expert underwriting response on regional fleet matters. They expect their submissions to be reviewed and assessed quickly, professionally and consistently. They demand informed and timely responses to enquiries from clients. What's more, they'd like all this from a single individual - a real, local person they can put a name to and build a relationship with.
Today, we have specialist fleet underwriters in every one of our UK regions.
Each one has been hand-picked for their experience and expertise in Motor Fleet underwriting. They are all seasoned professionals; used to working to high authority levels without constant referral to some distant "Head Office". All are accustomed to assessing the needs of fleets of all shapes, sizes and with widely-differing risk profiles. Our regional teams ensure rapid, local decision making, so it's easier for our supporting brokers to retain accounts - and win new fleet clients.
